Rupert Grint is making a much-anticipated return to the role of Ron Weasley, this time on Broadway in the acclaimed production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. This marks his return to the character more than a decade after the Harry Potter film series concluded. Grint, who portrayed Ron Weasley alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson throughout all eight films, will grace the stage for a 17-week run starting in February 2027.

Grint follows in the footsteps of Tom Felton, who recently reprised his role as Draco Malfoy in the same Broadway production. Felton is set to continue his stage performance through January. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which first premiered in London in 2016, has expanded to several international productions and has sold over 14 million tickets globally. The New York production alone has generated more than $532 million, highlighting its widespread appeal.
Grint is no stranger to Broadway, having made his debut in the 2014 comedy It’s Only a Play. Since his time as Ron Weasley, he has built a diverse acting portfolio with roles in films like Knock at the Cabin, Charlie Countryman, and Nightborn.
