Under the leadership of Party General Secretary and State President Tô Lâm, Vietnam’s 14th Party Central Committee convened its third session in Hà Nội. This five-day meeting is pivotal as it seeks to implement the resolutions set forth during the 14th National Party Congress. Key focuses include enhancing Party governance, reforming the political system, and boosting national development efforts.
The committee is tasked with a comprehensive review of 13 major policy areas essential for Vietnam’s growth. These include improvements to State governance, reforms in land law, economic restructuring, and fostering technology-driven growth. Environmental protection and national security are also high on the agenda. Additionally, the committee will examine the performance of the new political system and the two-tier local administration model, alongside proposals to designate Quảng Ninh and Bắc Ninh as centrally governed cities.
In his address, Tô Lâm emphasized the importance of making practical, action-oriented decisions that can effectively remove development obstacles and unlock national resources. He highlighted the necessity for these resolutions to be translated into clear implementation plans with defined responsibilities, timelines, and measurable outcomes to improve public services.
As the meeting progresses, Tô Lâm’s call to action underscores the urgency of these discussions. The resolutions from this session are expected to lay the groundwork for Vietnam’s future development trajectory, with an emphasis on concrete actions and tangible results. By focusing on these strategic areas, the committee aims to accelerate Vietnam’s progress on multiple fronts, ensuring that the nation remains on a path of sustainable and inclusive growth.
