Starting July 1, 2026, anime enthusiasts and tourists will have a more streamlined travel option from Kyoto to the “NARUTO&BORUTO Shinobi-Zato” attraction on Awaji Island, thanks to a new direct bus ticket package. This initiative combines a round-trip highway bus service from Kyoto Station to Awaji I.C. with entrance to the anime park, facilitating a seamless day-trip experience for both local and international visitors without the hassle of transfers.
The highway bus journey, which lasts approximately 90 minutes, promises travelers a scenic ride featuring bridge and sea views on the way to the anime destination. Upon arrival, guests can dive into two key attractions: the “Heaven’s Scroll (Ten no Maki)” maze and the “Earth Scroll (Chi no Maki)” mission rally. These interactive experiences bring the world of the beloved ninja anime series to life, offering fans a chance to engage with themed displays and activities inspired by the Hidden Leaf Village.
Available exclusively for weekday travel, the direct bus package excludes major holiday periods and is priced at 8,200 yen for adults and 4,250 yen for children, inclusive of taxes. Tickets can be purchased online, but travelers must exchange their tickets at the Kyoto Bus Ticket Center before boarding. This practical travel solution is expected to enhance accessibility to the attraction for anime fans and tourists seeking a distinctive summer journey in Japan.
Nijigen no Mori, the park hosting the “NARUTO&BORUTO Shinobi-Zato,” is situated on Awaji Island and is renowned for its attractions based on popular Japanese entertainment franchises. It offers visitors an immersive outdoor experience that blends Japan’s rich anime culture with the natural beauty of the island setting. By introducing this direct service from Kyoto, the park aims to attract more visitors looking for a unique and convenient way to explore these interactive attractions.
