SACRAMENTO, Calif., August 19, 2025 — Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., a global automotive manufacturer, and LiCAP Technologies, Inc., a U.S.-based leader in sustainable electrode engineering, have formalized a strategic alliance. This collaboration is designed to accelerate the industrialization of dry cathode electrode processes for all-solid-state battery (ASSB) applications.
This new partnership builds upon prior joint research and will focus on scaling LiCAP’s proprietary Activated Dry Electrode® technology. This solvent-free, high-efficiency process presents significant environmental and economic advantages when compared to traditional electrode fabrication methods. The alliance is directly aligned with Nissan’s Ambition 2030 initiative, reinforcing its commitment to the development of sustainable energy solutions and next-generation electric vehicles.
